When the first Choptop board was released way back in 2008, it proved to be an efficient hybrid board that combined the best parts of a directional board with the best parts of a skimboard. The years have passed and the Choptop board is now in its third edition. The 2010 Airush Choptop board continues to be a properly good board. It blends together onshorei performance, maneuverability and the capabilities of a small-wave surfboard.

If you want to drive carves and bottom turns, the Choptop?s surf rail lets you easily do this. If you want to ride in light wind conditions, the Choptop?s wide tail and flat rockeri will meet your light wind riding needs. The 5?8? Choptop is particularly good in light wind conditions. It provides enough buoyancy even for the heavier rider. When the winds pick up, the board remains stable thanks to its ?over the board? rider geometry.

You can choose to use the 2010 Choptop with or without foot straps (they can easily be removed). If you do choose to remove them and go out on the water, you must know that the 5?3? Choptop features a concave deck with a low center of drive. This means the board handles better when you go out there strapless.
