    LINE LENGTH ADVISOR
In 2013 we introduced different line length ranging from 19 to 30 metres as the length of the flying lines can make a huge difference to the way the kite flies. Different styles of riding, different kite models or the kite size can be influencing factors that require different line length. In order to further increase this synergy effect the 19 and 22 m lines come now on a medium bar (49 / 42 cm) and the 24, 27 and 30 m lines on a large bar (53 / 46 cm). The bar is the riders? first point of contact with the kite. In order to achieve a maximum in comfort of riding it is essential to match the kite and the riders? style of riding to the correct line length.

    19m (70% Handling?/?30% Power)
Super fast and reactive tuning speeds, shorter lines are best for extreme freestyle and crazy kiteloops. They are also excellent for wave riding, where kite turning speed is important. Wakestyle riders like the close connection to the kite too. The disadvantage is you lose some of the low end power.
    - Fast and reactive turning
    - For extreme Freestyle, Wakestyle and Waves
    - Tight, super fast and hard kite loops

    22m (60% Handling?/?40% Power)
This is the favorite length of our freestyle and wave team! These 22m lines are still great for getting lots of speed from the kite, perfect for wave riding and freestyle. Not as extreme as the 19m lines, they still lose a bit of low end power.
    - Reactive turning
    - Fast kite loops
    - Favorite set up from our freestyle riders
    - Best choice for waveriding

    24m (50% Handling?/?50% Power)
The best choice for an all round length, good turning speed combined with good power make 24m the perfect choice for a lot of riders. Great for freeride, waves and freestyle.
    - The most versatile length
    - Great for all round freeriding
    - Good low end and a good turning speed
    - High jumps as you can ?load? the lines
    - The recommended size for a one bar quiver!!

    27m (40% Handling?/?60% Power)
The extra length means extra power, get a little more range out of your quiver by adding this bar with the longer lines. They are also great for jumping as you can really ?load? the lines when you edge and send the kite back through the window.
    - Enormous low end
    - Huge jumps
    - Lots of lift

    30m (25% Handling?/?75% Power )
The choice of the North Kiteboarding Race Team, longer lines mean even more power, but the kite turns at a slower rate. This suits racers looking for the ultimate in pull in the often gusty and light conditions they are faced with.
    - Perfect for light winds!
    - Extra power
    - North Kiteboarding Race Team approved

The bar is your first point of contact with the kite, Iit is the connection between you and your kite and it is important to get it right. And it?s actually an easy formula: The shorter the lines, the more direct and faster the kite turns. The longer the lines, the more power you can generate out of them! Choose a North Trust Bar, and choose the right line set up for your style of riding.

  • North Trust Bar 5th Element 2016

    North Bar 5 Line

Safety is an essential topic in a sport where you are facing the power of the elements and in some situations are totally on your own. The North patented 5th line system has provided the greatest combination of safety and performance for many years now.
Year after year, the 5th line concept proves its reliability and 100% instant depower after a safety release no matter what the conditions. The system still has a commanding lead compared to other safety systems available on the market.
This is why we at North Kiteboarding believe in the 5th line concept.
What?s more, the 5th line makes water relaunch effortless and the loaded 5th line kite designs (Vegas and Rebel) offer a very short depower stroke, giving the rider ultimate control in gusty conditions.
The benefits of this set-up are obvious and appreciated by riders all over the world.

Description

  • Quick and easy turning
  • Responsive steering when depowered
  • Best drifting ability of the range
  • Massive depower
  • Soft power development

The Neo is the dedicated wave-freeride kite in the line up, aimed at the rider who values quality waves and needs a kite to perform. Airton Cozzolino chooses the Neo for his demanding style of competitive wave riding on the KSP World Tour. His influence was essential to improve the wave characteristic without loosing the good freeride abilities. This year the Neo comes with a floating strut and the structure of the kite is a little softer to enable the Neo to absorb gusts, giving a smoother power development and allowing the rider even more control on the wave. The struts have also been moved further towards the outside of the kite, this has shifted the centre of gravity allowing the kite to sit further back in the window. This enables the kite to drift down the line incredibly well, allowing you to park the kite and ride the wave without having to worry about it stalling. Additionally it is responsible for an easy and fast relaunch. The Neo is extremely responsive to rider input on the bar, making it easy to manoeuvre on the wave. The lightweight construction makes the kite very lively in the air, but also means there is even less chance of the kite dropping back in the window as you race down the line.

If you like riding waves, but don´t want to miss comfort freeriding, the Neo is the kite for you.

 North Mono 2016

    EASY TO USE
    EASY FREERIDING ABILITIES
QUICK TURNING SPEED & REACTIVE STEERING

    SOFT POWER DEVELOPMENT
    GOOD LOWEND & UPWIND PERFORMANCE
    ROBUST 1-STRUT DESIGN

We are always on the lookout for innovative ways to design and achieve outstanding products, so our team investigated the potential of a lighter kite with fewer struts. Introducing the Mono, the newest family member to the North Kiteboarding range who?s performance speaks for itself.

The Mono is a light wind specialist. It has an outstanding low end range, with the 5 m2 and 7 m2 models working particularity well with surfboards and lighter breezes.
Use the power of the kite to catch the wave, then crank the depower and shred the wave with zero pull. Its light weight allows the kite to drift and hang in the air as you ride down the line; it also makes it the perfect travel companion. The Mono has a comfortable and forgiving feeling via the bar - softer than the Neo but still progressive. The turning speed is quick, and the kite is also great for Freeriding offering easy jumping and excellent hangtime. With relaunch abilities worthy of an applause, great power delivery and optimum sheet-and-go, you?re sure to fall in ?love at first flight?.

Ideally paired with a larger twintip or wave board, in light-medium strength winds the Mono will blow you away! Test ride one today and be amazed.
