Starboard Wingboard Lite Tech 2021

Wing Boarding: Some riders get it right away, others find it a bit more difficult. This is mainly due to the material and the wing basics.
Our goal was to develop boards that take off early, offer a lot of balance and dip gently into the water before going back into the foil.

THE SHAPE
Stability is needed, especially for the first steps. With plenty of volume in the rails, the "square nose" and the small "platform" at the tail, our wingboards offer just that. The optimized footstrap positions allow you to position your feet as close as possible to the foil.

ROUNDED NOSE
The rounded nose of the wingboards makes them very forgiving when you come back from the foil to the water surface. A clean dive greatly reduces the risk of a fall and lets you take off again quickly.

DECKSHAPE
Optimized deck shape for perfect stance and control. The special shape allows you to position your foot close to the foil.

DRAINAGE CHANNELS
Water can easily drain off the tail of the board.

THE BOXY RAILS
Volume exactly where you need it. The boxy rails give you a really short and compact board with lots of stability underfoot.

FLAT TAIL ROCKER
so the board picks up speed quickly and lets you take off.

CHANNEL BOTTOM
The channel shape in the underwater hull gets deeper towards the tail and helps to pump up the board so it takes off as fast and stable as possible.

CUTAWAY TAIL
The special shape in the tail allows the board to come off the water much better. It also improves turning ability without the rails touching the water.

FOOTSLIDE INSERTS
-so you are always "in the right place" with your feet
-foot straps are not included with the board

FOIL POSITION
buoyancy, early take-off, stability. Our research and development team spent a long time developing the position of the foil, leaving nothing to chance.

CARRYING HANDLE
The carrying handle of the Wingboard is placed on the bottom so as not to hinder foiling. Nevertheless, the board is of course easy to transport.

REINFORCEDFINS
-The fin boxes are molded from extra-strong Akulon Eco from recycled fishing nets, then built into the boards with multiple reinforcements.

UNIDIRECTIONAL STRINGERS
-Additional stiffness provided by unidirectional stringers and reinforcements in the rail/nose area.

ADDITIONAL STRENGTHS
-Additional reinforcements around all inserts.

REINFORCEDBASE
-Australian "pine" reinforcements throughout the stand area provide a great combination of flexibility and durability.

IQ-GRIP
-Easy to transport boards on land.

EPS CORE
-15 KG/M³ THICKNESS
-The core is individually molded for each Starboard. This not only ensures better strength, but also protects the environment by eliminating EPS waste.

Shoulder Strap Inserts
-Shoulder strap inserts are available for GO, Touring, Generation and Waterline models.
-The shoulder strap is not included with the board, but is sold as an aftermarket item.
Only the Wingboard 4in1 Lite Tech comes with the shoulder strap, as it does not have the IQ handle.
