HydroFoil WOOD PRO 2024

133 - 155

Performance foiling with ease

The HydroFoils from JP were one of the very first specialty boards for foiling and set the trend right from the start of the foil revolution. The versatile range of use and all-round appeal of the first two generations made them extremely popular and successful on the market. The two third generation shapes can best be summarized as user-friendly, scaled-down versions of the "HydroFoil Slalom" models.
The 133 and 155 represent JP's most balanced mix of user-friendliness combined with top foil performance. They are very efficient and fast, super comfortable to ride and so easy to control that they were sailed by the pros in 2022 competitions when the going got tough.

The previous models were already great and only full race designs could challenge their performance. But the success and improved feel of the latest edition of the JP Performance Foil Race Boards was undeniable and shaper Werner Gnigler wanted to transfer these benefits to the recreational foil class by removing all excess volume and width.

Details about the shape
The boards are narrow and feature proven proportions and dimensions. The most important advantages: The shortness keeps the swing weight low for control and a balanced ride. In the air, the compact hulls give a feeling of total control and dominance over the foil.
The even distribution of volume provides great stability and helps to take off early. As a bonus, the volume in the nose provides enough lift for uphauling on these short boards.

133:
The third generation of the shape that started the foil hype for JP: it is still the most versatile size covering a very wide wind range. It suits most rider weights and levels and works great with all sail sizes except the very largest and smallest. The perfect one-size-fits-all size for most sailors.

155:
This size was originally developed for foil racing. Compared to pure performance boards, the volume and dimensions are reduced to the necessary maximum. It is the downsized "freerace" version that is easy to handle and fun to ride. It also has a long range, but is particularly suitable for light wind spots when used by large sailors or with large sails. Thanks to the larger 6-hole footstrap connector, you can adapt your stack position to a wider variety of profile sizes.
