For 2024 we have smoothed out the shape of the LE and introduced a continuous curved arc shape that is slightly narrower at the shoulders and wider at the wingtips.
The wingtips have a more bi-elliptical shape to reduce drag and increase turning speed, while a slightly deeper profile in the center creates more lift. Changes to the wingtips inspired a completely redesigned bridle and attachment point positioning, for the most stable orbit yet. The kite feels even more reliable and forgiving even in overpowering, turbulent conditions, but retains its ability to fly further and catch you in S-loops. It is intuitive.
Riders of all abilities can experience the best of both worlds without having to worry about the position of their kite in the sky. It responds better in all conditions. In the smaller sizes we have slightly reduced the aspect ratio and refined the profiles to improve hangtime and enable a faster, tighter turning circle for double loops and S-loops. In the larger sizes we have updated the profiles to give a livelier and more responsive feel, with increased low wind performance for heavier riders.
We have also reduced the overall weight of the kite by using lighter bladders in each size. Less weight means your kite flies faster and sooner as you need less wind to get the kite up in the sky. Tested by nature, proven on the podium. The Orbit is there when the laws of gravity don't apply.
