The Armstrong Downwind Mk III is designed for riders taking their first steps in downwinding or looking to push their performance in challenging conditions such as short swells and "skatepark" conditions. With its new displacement hull, the board delivers impressive glide and makes it easier to get on the foil.

Easy bump catching & more control
The new, faster hull shape ensures efficient paddling and easy bump catching - even without perfect technique or excessive power. This makes the board the ideal platform for anyone who wants to improve their downwind skills.

Agile and reactive on the foil
The revised shape with a shorter and slightly narrower outline improves agility when foiling. The integrated Forward Geometry Foil Tracks move the foil further forward and enable tighter turns and efficient pumping with low swing weight.

Stability without compromise
Despite its more compact dimensions, the Mk III remains stable and user-friendly. This is ensured by the new, rounded rails and a flatter deck with a generous footprint. The improved roll stability gives you confidence, even in choppy conditions.

Maximum control with new deck grip
The new deck pad with micro-cutouts, central archbars and tail wedges offers optimum grip without restricting the possibility of foot correction. The blue markings make it easier to find the foil position.

Construction: Lighter, stiffer, more robust
The Mk III has a carbon-PVC sandwich construction with Dual Carbon Stringer System for maximum stiffness and durability. The carbon foil tracks are embedded directly in the stringers and guarantee a highly resilient connection. A PVC rail layer protects against paddle impacts and increases resistance to shuttleruns.
