Description

Banzai Surf Iris Carbon
Wave control

Sizes
3.4/3.7/4.0/4.2/4.5/4.7/5.0/5.3m

Four-batten maneuver-oriented wave sail.

Your focus is on maximum maneuverability and control in surf and surf-like conditions. This completely new design is very neutral. You are free to draw your own lines on the wave and surf exactly the way you want. Effortless drive and lightness so you can sail for hours.

Handling characteristics: Compared to the Banzai 11 Pro and Banzai Max, the Banzai Surf Pro is slightly higher and has a shorter boom. In combination with the lower and more centrally positioned lift, this results in a balanced, neutral ride for maximum control and maneuverability. This also makes the sail super light in your hands, so you can sail longer and stay in full control when riding waves. The power never pulls too much or too little, but is always there when you need it.

Buoyancy: Centered
Agility: Surfing
Feel: Light and neutral

Approved for the IWT and PWA World Cup.
Carbon construction, bi-ply window, warp carbon and scrim panels.
Available in rainbow colors with black logos.

Carbon construction:

Main window panel: 6 mil Bi-PLY from Dimension Polyant with two 3 mil layers of PET film. This results in a softer feel, improved flex and less wrinkling. The UV inhibitors in the adhesive significantly increase the life of the product compared to traditional monofilm.
Upper window panels: 4 mil high quality monofilm from Dimension Polyant.
Upper body panels: 1.5 mil, linear Warp Carbon fiber laminate yarns with extremely low stretch, arranged to control the load lines in the sail, combined with super strong Technora Aramid X-Ply. Warp Carbon allows for incredible linear control of the sail profile while allowing for dynamic, torsional, diagonal stretch and return. This makes the sails feel very quiet, weightless and very resistant to overloading.
Lower body color inserts: 2.5 mil scrim from Dimension-Polyant is a polyester scrim plus foot/tack panel: 4 mil Aramid Scrim features an improved scrim with larger denier fibers while retaining the high strength Aramid X-PLY. It has a much higher tear and puncture resistance under the highest load of pure surfing.
Double stitching around the main window.
Edge reinforcement made of Dacron Leech.
Folded trailing edge on the mast sleeve to prevent fraying.

Carbon advantages:

Upper body panels are made of 1.5 mil Warp Carbon foil to emphasize light weight and profile stability.
Overall improved handling.
Improved stability in mid to high wind range due to Warp Carbon. More reactive and lighter feel.
Warp Carbon reinforced Technora X-Ply for basic profile stability in the sail's shape design and excellent durability.
